1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MindDrop ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

MindDrop is a voice journal and mood tracker for iOS. The App allows you to record voice journal entries, receive on-device mood analysis and reflections, track mood patterns over time, and view weekly insight reports. All journal data processing occurs on your device.

3. Subscription Plans and Pricing

MindDrop offers the following subscription options:

  • Weekly: $3.99 per week
  • Annual: $29.99 per year (best value -- equivalent to $2.50/month)
  • Lifetime: $79.99 one-time purchase (permanent access to all Premium features)

All prices are in US dollars and may vary by region. Prices are subject to change with notice.

4. Free Trial

New users are eligible for a 7-day free trial of Premium features. The free trial begins when you start a subscription. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged the applicable subscription fee.

Free trial eligibility is determined by Apple and is limited to one trial per Apple ID.

5. Auto-Renewal and Billing

Subscriptions (weekly and annual) automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.

6. How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap your Apple ID at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select MindDrop
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

After cancellation, you will retain access to Premium features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.

7. Refunds

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple through their support channels at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly.

8. Not a Medical Device

MindDrop is NOT a medical device, therapeutic tool, or substitute for professional mental health care.

The mood analysis, reflections, and insights provided by MindDrop are intended for personal self-reflection and journaling purposes only. They should not be interpreted as medical advice, psychological diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

9. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your data.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use MindDrop.
  • You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose.
  • You are solely responsible for the content of your journal entries.

10. Intellectual Property

MindDrop, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by its developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Your journal entries and personal data remain your property.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MindDrop and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, emotional distress, or reliance on mood analysis or summary content.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that mood analysis and weekly summaries will always be accurate.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
